Bishop Reginald L. Williams, Sr. is the eldest son born in Detroit, MI, to Bishop Herbert J. Williams, Sr. and the late Mother Iola Bruce Williams. Bishop Williams was married to the lovely and talented Pia Susaye Haynes-Williams. They are blessed with sons; James Neaul Haynes Williams, Chandler Ellington Williams, Reginald L. Williams II, and Xavier Thurston Williams. He is an admiring grandfather of Reginald III, Izaia Mikal, and Harlem.

 

He has been preaching the gospel for more than 45 years and is the celebrated Pastor of Love Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Ft. Worth Texas. A true churchman, known as the “Prince of Preachers”, he maintains an active role within the life of the Church of God in Christ, serving the Church in varied capacities. Bishop Williams has served on a national level as National Chief Adjutant and Assistant Adjutant General of the Church of God in Christ. On a Jurisdictional level he served in Texas Northeast First as the Chairman of Finance, Member of the Executive Board and Trustee, and the District Superintendent of the Oak Cliff District.

In 2015, at the demise of Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, Prelate of Texas Northeast First Jurisdiction, Bishop Williams was selected to lead a dedicated group of Pastors and their constituencies. Bishop Williams voluntarily approached the National Church with a new Jurisdiction that was accepted and established as Texas Metropolitan Jurisdiction and now serves as the Prelate.

A dynamic and committed leader, Bishop Williams resolutely leads men and women to Christ. His anointed ministry compels the lost to repentance. He is known for quoting the prayer which he has made famous across the country: “Lord if you don’t do anything else for us, save us.

Save us from ourselves. Save us from the wrath to come.
